About

Hi, I’m Aimee. I am a queer, mixed white (Scottish and Germanic descent) and Indigenous woman (Osage Nation citizen), community organizer, poet, tarot reader, and songwriter rooted in California. My work is focused on the realization of our humanity, respect for the land and all who make it home, and being a part of liberation struggles with oppressed communities including but not limited to my own.

My social movement work as a community organizer for fifteen years has ranged from volunteer engagement to digital campaigns and communications to coordinating mass people’s assemblies, and organizational development. My organizing and political philosophy has been shaped by Southern women-of-color-led movements in the U.S., principles of Indigenous leadership, my working-class family, and my time studying with LeftRoots and in community with Right to the City Alliance.

I’ve been learning and practicing tarot, plant medicine, and spirit-led work since 2017. In my tarot practice, I have learned from the empowering, inclusive and liberatory frameworks of Little Red Tarot, Cassandra Snow, Maria Minnis, Michelle Tea, Diana Rose Harper, and many more. I believe that The People are the hero in the hero’s journey to create a new life-affirming world where justice is possible, and each of us has a part to play. My plant medicine teachers have included the California Institute for Herbal Studies, Linda Black Elk, Joshua Dunn, and direct experience with the plants that I grow and tend.

My work includes

  • Tarot reading and divination
  • Ritual development and spellwork
  • Plant medicine creation and communion
  • Poetry and essay writing
  • Facilitation
  • Volunteer engagement
  • Participatory grassroots research
  • Strategic and program planning
  • Communications and digital campaigns

You can reach me at info@aimeeinglis.com if you’re interested in working with me in any of the above capacities. You can book a tarot reading here.
